Maarten Cornelisz Kwaadland was born circa October 1769 in Goedereede, Goeree-Overflakkee County, ZH Netherlands to Neeltje Sonnemaar Kwaadland and Cornelis Kwaadland, and had siblings Abram Kwaadland, Jacob Kwaadland, and Teunis Kwaadland. He married Maria Krijger, and they were married until Maarten's death circa 1847. Maarten Kwaadland had children Dimmen Kwaadland, Job Quadland, and Cornelius Quadland.
