Mabel was born in Grangeville, Idaho in 1897. She had seven brothers and sisters. She married Clyde J. Dickeson and they had my mom, Barbara J. Millar(Dickeson). Charles E. Dickeson was their son. I am Barbara's youngest daughter. Grandma lived with us for seven years to help while Mom went to school and later became a teacher. Grandma taught me how to read, write, and much more before I even went to school. Grandma had been a teacher in a one room schoolhouse in Cottonwood, Id. in the 1920's. She bought the four grandchildren special gifts through mail order. She loved country music and soap operas. She could crochet. She made us Campbells soup, Jello, and cooked many of the meals. She had groceries brought to our house on 15th in Clarkston. Grandma passed just a few years after I married and moved to Spokane.
