Mabel Lucille (Soares) Whalin of San Diego, San Diego County, CA was born on March 11, 1920 in Santa Clara, Santa Clara County to Rose E. Soares and Antonio Silveira Soares. Mabel Whalin had siblings Arlene R. Soares and Vera Reichmuth. She married Bob Whalin. She was the parent of James Paula. She would also marry Gene Smith, and they had children Douglas Eugene Smith and Debra Smith. She married Frank Joseph Paula, and they had children Frank Anthony Paula, Beverly Rose Shepard, and Mabel Loretta Gervais. Mabel Whalin died at age 76 years old on March 22, 1996.
