Malachi Smith Oakes Family
Malachi Smith Oakes was born on April 11, 1864, in Jackson, Georgia, his father, William, was 41 and his mother, Mary, was 36. He married Cynthia Eugenia Allen in 1887 in Jackson, Georgia. They had 12 children in 21 years. He died on August 10, 1940, in Ben Hill, Georgia, at the age of 76, and was buried there. He is pictured here with his children.
