Grandma T was just that to me. We visited two or three times a year, and it would be a lie to say we had close family ties. By the time my mother and father were married she had already lost her husband and her, by all accounts, favorite son Billy. She has a beautiful home right on Old Georgetown Road, although much of the front yard had been lost to the ever expanding six lane highway. She loved her flowers both inside her two greenhouses and those she planted it the yard. She lived her antiques and valued her possessions. The three grandchildren were kept quiet on the visits, and were obviously not one of her treasured possessions.
