She married Thomas Salvatore DiPalma, and had children Mark Thomas DiPalma and Sharon Beth DiPalma-Stopar-. Marie Dipalma died at age 69 years old in November 2007, and was buried in November 2007.

    My Mother-in-law ran several businesses as a young woman she worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and the opened an insurance Brokerage with her husband my father-in-law Thomas S. DiPalma which They ran for over 40 years. Her Husband Thomas also worked for the Transit Authority for which he was a bus driver and a Depot Chairman.They also did Motor Vehicle work, filled out forms for registrations, titles and automobile accidents. My in-laws together with my husband Mark Thomas DiPalma owned a professional building for which they operated their businesses out of the storefront. After the death of my in-laws, My husband continues to run all of the businesses including his driving school as well as an automobile leasing company.

In 1938, in the year that Marie Ferraro-DiPalma was born, on October 30th, a Sunday, The Mercury Theatre on the Air broadcast Orson Welles' special Halloween show The War of the World's. A clever take on H.G. Wells' novel, the show began with simulated "breaking news" of an invasion by Martians. Because of the realistic nature of the "news," there was a public outcry the next day, calling for regulation by the FCC. Although the current story is that many were fooled and panicked, in reality very few people were fooled. But the show made Orson Welles' career.

In 1941, at the age of merely 3 years old, Marie was alive when in his State of the Union address on January 6th, President Roosevelt detailed the "four freedoms" that everyone in the world should have: Freedom of speech, Freedom of worship, Freedom from want, and Freedom from fear. In the same speech, he outlined the benefits of democracy which he said were economic opportunity, employment, social security, and the promise of "adequate health care".
