    When Marie Q. Carson, birth name Queenie Evans, was age 9, she was living in Austin, Pennsylvania, on School Street with her parents Rufus Evans and Anna Evans, and siblings Gerald and Howard Evans. Dad was working as an oiler in a saw mill. No one else in the household was working. Ten years later, Queenie G Evans was married to David P. Carson. They were living in Onondaga, New York with their daughter Margaret and David was working as a brakeman on the railroad. By the time that Queenie was 49, she and David were living in Syracuse New York with their children William and Beverley Carson, also in the household were five roomers, all over the age of 33. By now, David was an interior and exterior decorator. William was a bartender in a restaurant and Beverley was a salesgirl in a retail department store.
