Marion Cecelia (Finley) Draine's father was Hildred Finley and her mother was Mary Neary. When Marion was a year old, she was living where she was born - Brooklyn New York - with her parents, Hildred, 33, and Mary, 39, and her siblings, Mary, 6, Florence, 5, and Irene, 4. Also in the house were three lodgers, John McGroty, William Daly, and Mary McKelvy. Dad was a tugboat captain. Lodger William Daly was a sexton in a church. No one else was working. Twenty years later, Marian was still single and still living in New York, New York, with her parents. Siblings Harry and Joseph were also still at home. Marian was a "packer" in a tea factory. Joseph was a bell boy at a hotel. Harry was a binder in a printing office and Dad was still a captain on a tug boat.
