She was born on October 24, 1906 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, USA and had siblings including Charles Frederick Tibble Jr (1914-1974), Dennis Joseph Cronin (1908-1990), Marvin Charles Tibble (1912-1990), Ella Louise Tibble (1914-2016), Isabel E Tibble (1919-), and Ralph Bundy Tibble (1920-1974). She enlisted on July 13, 1943, in Rochester, New York. Her commitment led her to become a Private in the Women's Army Corps (WAC), a branch that allowed women to play an essential role in supporting the military effort. Her military service spanned from August 5, 1943, when she officially joined the Army, to October 6, 1945, when she was discharged.
