She was married to LTC Richard Franklin Doody in 1959 and they later divorced in 1983 in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania. She had children Kevin Michael Doody, Timothy Shawn Doody, Patrick Francis Doody, and Christina Mayme Doody-Van Deysen. Marjorie Klaus died at age 83 years old on April 5, 2021.

In 1937, in the year that Marjorie Ann (Bungay) was born, on May 6th, the German zeppelin the Hindenburg caught fire and blew up. The Hindenburg was a passenger ship traveling to Frankfurt Germany. It tried to dock in New Jersey, one of the stops, and something went wrong - it blew up. Thirty-six people were killed out of the 97 on board - 13 passengers, 22 crewmen, and one ground worker. The reasons for the explosion are still disputed.

In 1947, Marjorie was merely 10 years old when on November 25th, the Hollywood "Black List" was created by the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC). Ten Hollywood writers and directors had refused to testify to the Committee regarding "Communists" or "Reds" in the movie industry. The next day, the blacklist was created and they were fired.
