Marjorie Florence Martha (Basford) Shields of Geelong Australia was born on July 14, 1915 in Geelong, Greater Geelong City County, VIC to Alice Maud (Bent) Basford and Walter Basford. She had siblings Thelma Evelyn Basford and Lorna Grace Meryl Basford. She married Matthew John Shields in 1936, and died at age 79 years old on December 7, 1994 in Geelong. Marjorie Shields was buried at Eastern Cemetery/Ormond Rd in East Geelong.
