She had siblings Jean (Van Arsdale ) Purdham, James Lowry Van Arsdale, William Lowry Van Arsdale, Elizabeth Anne (Van Arsdale) Wilkerson, and Leon Isaiah Van Arsdale. Marjorie Van Arsdale died at age 83 years old on June 28, 2010.

  • Introduction

    Marjorie survived Meningitis as a young girl. She overcame the effects to become a health care aid. She live most of her adulthood in Hanford, California. Marjorie never married. She was loved with great affection by 4 nieces and 8 nephews. Margie and her sister, Elizabeth Wilkerson moved back home to her parents' 160 acre farm in Marion Michigan in the 1970s to help her aging parents at the farm. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Marion and enjoyed her doggie and gardening.

Aunt Margie was a very loving, Christian lady. She played the piano quite well and loved to read. She was always very industrious in and out of the home and was well respected in the community.

During her years at the farm, Margie Lou, as her Mother called her, was a great help and comfort to her elderly parents in their final years. Margie developed a closed friendship with some cousins from the area. If those cousins are in possession of any family photos from the farm, I would gladly pay to have copies made.
