  • Introduction

My mother, Marjorie Ruth (McKinnon) Vaux Smith (my mom remarried later in life) was an amazing woman who survived many challenges throughout her lifetime. Her mother passed away when she was only about 6 years old. She married young and had five children. She was very smart but, because of her life, she never had the opportunity to reach her full potential. I respect and love her and always will.
