He married Katie Marie MacMillan in 1999 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, and they were married until Mark's death on January 31, 2014 in Antioch, Lake County. He had children Zachary Tyler MacMillan and Kelsie Anne MacMillan. Mark MacMillan was buried on February 5, 2014 in Grayslake.
