I remember Mark from school, 7th grad thru some of high school
I have often wondered about him, and I'm sad to see he died at 51. Ugh. He wore square-cut short-sleeved plaid shirts and could shoot a basketball like (at the time) no other. He was short but really good, on the A-Team in 7th/8th. Not sure about high-school.
He was funny and nice. Lots of freckles. One thing he used to say--more of a song-chant— with no provocation:
"Clam chowder makes 'em louder!
Apple cider makes 'em lighter!"

Did he marry? Have children? I think he moved away in 1968-1969...first or second year in high school. He was never mean, always kind, funny, and a good shot. Everybody liked "Abbie." Only teachers (not coaches, though) called him Mark.
