She married William Tainsh in 1871, and had children John Cook Tainsh, Martha Elizabeth Tainsh, William Tainsh, and George Samuel Tainsh. Martha Tainsh died at age 77 years old on July 3, 1924 in Clifton Hill, City of Yarra County.
