    Martha Leahy married Jean Max Ludolff April 26th, 1905 at her residence , 1 Adolph St, East Richmond. He was aged 42 at the time with 3 children from his previous relationship and Martha was 39 with 2 children living from her first marriage and 2 children deceased. Her parents were listed as Charles Heath and Maria Oxley. She was a stepmother to my birth father , Bert Leahy (Hugo Ludolff) who was born in 1891 in Kogarah, NSW.

In 1891, from March 9th through the 12th, a blizzard hit the south and west of England. Called the Great Blizzard of 1891, it led to snow drifts of up to 15 feet and killed 200 people and 6,000 animals. Fourteen ships sank.
