Mary Ann was my dear Grandmother!
She was an amazing woman, worked so hard with her mother and sisters after their father, a very keen horseman died after a fall from his stallion.
There was a baby brother Archie who was destined to inherit the most amazing property, so the farm had to be kept going !!!
Unfortunately Archie was not a farmer !!
Mary married my Grandfather George, the kindest person, they took on the care of Mary’s mother in FenwickSt Portarlington until her death !
My Father Archie was born followed by two baby girls, neither sadly survived.
My Great Grandfather had purchased Cob and Co coaches, followed by buses.
Because of the sadness of loosing her two babies she decided for the sake of her mental health to put her efforts into work, she ran a hire car attached to the Busline, she was also known for her amazing cooking and florist work!
She loved me so much after loosing her little girls, and very happily lived to see our first daughter Jane Erwin !
