Mary Barker French of Lincoln, CA
Aunt Mary died the morning of April 12, 1918. She was the last of the Barkers in California. I remember her lying in the casket in the parlor. I asked my mother why she was there. Mama said that she was dead & it happened to everyone. I just had a fit & cried & cried. Mama held me & told me not to worry - that I would live a long time. Mama lived to be 92. And I think I am the oldest in the family now!
