First Thanksgiving
Mary was a passenger on the Mayflower, along with her husband, William Brewster Jr. and their two youngest sons, Love and Wrestling. The other children followed on other ships.

Mary was one of the only four women to survive the first winter. She survived long enough to cook the first Thanksgiving.

Thank you, Mary Brewster, for establishing a tradition that has endured the test of time. Families still gather together to celebrate Thanksgiving more than 400 years later.

Mary is my 9x great grandmother.
