Mary Elizabeth (Buckner) Harjo was born on October 2, 1942 in Talihina, Le Flore County, Oklahoma United States. She was married to Charlie D Harjo in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, and they were together until Charlie's death on March 31, 2005. She had children April LeAnn (Harjo) Lawrence, Carol Dee (Harjo) Bierman, Dawn Michelle Harjo, and Justin Miles Harjo. Mary Harjo died at age 68 years old on May 16, 2011 in Okmulgee, Okmulgee County.
