She was married to William Henry Hicks in 1865, and had children Francis Hicks, Edith Hicks, Frances Annie Hicks Moyle, Alice Elizabeth Hicks, William Rodda Hicks, William Hicks, Alice Hicks, Ada Millicent Hicks, Florence Hicks, and Ruby Irene Hicks. Mary Hicks died at age 90 years old on March 27, 1934 in Magpie, City of Ballarat County, VIC Australia.
