Mary Ellen Bell of Brackenridge, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania United States was born on November 30, 1926 in New Kensington, United States County. She was married to Kipp H Bell, and they were together until Kipp's death on July 20, 2001. She had a child Richard Kipp Bell. Mary Bell died at age 83 years old on October 4, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Condordia 134 Marwood Rd., in Cabot.

Mary Ellen was a member of Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church and also served on the Deacon Board. She was very devout to her faith and never missed Sunday nor Holiday church services while she was able. Mary would crochet countless infant socks and other clothing items to be donated through the church especially around winter months.

Published by The Valley News Dispatch on Oct. 6, 2010: “Mary Ellen Bell, 83, of Brackenridge, passed away Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, Cabot. She was born Nov. 30, 1926, in New Kensington, the daughter of the late August J. and Pauline R. (Garvin) Mathabel. Mary Ellen was a 1944 graduate of East Deer High School. Mary Ellen worked as an operator and in the engineering division for Bell of Pennsylvania. She was a member of Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church and also served on the Deacon Board, and was a member of the Allegheny Valley Hospital Auxiliary where she served as a former secretary. She worked as a volunteer at Allegheny Valley Hospital, working in the coffee shop. Mary Ellen enjoyed sewing, reading and golf. She is survived by her children, Richard K. Bell, of Jeannette, and Kay Bell Sirianni, of San Diego, Calif.; stepdaughters, Sandra Lee Milsom, of New Kensington, and Cherion Ann Furgiuele, of San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren, Allison, Deanna, Ryan and Valerie Bell; four stepgrandchildren, Joey Furgiuele and Eric, Evan and Erin Milsom; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Autumn and Noah Milsom and Ayla Bell; and by her special friends, Dane and Robby Irvine. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kipp H. Bell, July 20, 2001; and by her cousin, Margaret McKinney. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service for Mary Ellen will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, in Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. R. Cameron Malcolm IV. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688.
