Mary Ellen (Regester) Clinnick Smilie of Box Hill Australia was born on April 20, 1892 in Richmond, Victoria to William Henry Regester and Martha Alice (Shaw) Regester. Mary Clinnick Smilie had siblings Laurence Charles Douglas Regester, Alice Bertha Regester, Florence Sarah Ann (Regester) Oakman, Myrtle Annie (Regester) Smilie, Eric Rosslyn Baker Regester, Norman Alan Regester, George Henry Regester, Lillian May Gordon, and Arthur Victor Regester. She married Gordon Austin Stanley Clinnick in 1909. They had children Violet Helen Grace Clinnick, Gordon William Henry Clinnick, and Hazel Alice Hortance Clinnick. She would also marry Robert Smilie in 1921. Mary Clinnick Smilie died at age 92 years old on March 11, 1985 in Camberwell, City of Boroondara County, VIC.
