  • Introduction

    She worked as a realtor and stock broker along with being the Treasurer of the Crown Point Savings and Loan. Her talents as a musician were well known through her years as a soloist, choir director and organist at the Crown Point Methodist Church. On her twenty-first birthday she married William Arthur Hagen from Valparaiso, Indiana. A week later, they became the guardians of two of her younger siblings, Lloyde Jeanette "Mickie" Aken Louis (1917-1993) and Frederich Ammon Aken (1914-1988).
