She was in a relationship with William Henry Pynn, and had children Helena Margaret (Pynn) Yelland, Elizabeth Elsie (Pynn) Freeman, Hilda Millicent (Pynn) Sharp, Francis"Frank"Pynn, Frederick William Pynn, John"Jack"Pynn, Minnie Pynn, Ethel Mary Buckley ( Pynn, and Nellie Pynn. Mary Pynn died at age 61 years old in 1917 in Balaclava, VIC, and was buried at Brighton General Cemetery in Caulfield South, Glen Eira City County.

    The Age, Melbourne, 29th December 1917. PYNN.- On the 27th December ( suddenly ), at 60 Marlborough street, Balaclava, Mary, loved wife of William Henry Pynn, aged 61 years, also at Carrum, ( result of railway accident ), on 27th December, Frank, loved son of above William Henry and late Mary Pynn, aged 23 years. R.I.P. -A sudden change, at God's command they fell, They had no time to bid their friends farewell The summons came without a warning given That bade them haste to meet their god in heaven.
