Mason L. Ribelman was born on August 11, 1870 in Highland Township, Oakland County, Michigan United States to Ruth Leek and John Ribelman, and had siblings Fred Ribelman, George Ribelman, and Estelle Ribelman. He married Sarah Jane Horner, and had children Philip Winston Leek, John Emerson Leek, Affa Myrtis Leek, Sarah Marion Leek, Clara Margaret Leek, Bernice Caroline Leek, and Ada Lucile Leek.
