He was smart (book wise) but had no common sense. Spent his time at Kansas State University selling drugs to students. Once it became apparent that he was the resident drug pusher and the cops were closing in, he decided to take the coward's way out and commit suicide. His whole family moved away from Topeka, KS once this happened.

I had a class with him. I was unimpressed. However, I was surprised that someone with a full ride to college would be dumb enough to be pushing drugs. Guess he wasn't so smart after all.
