When Matthew Cornelia was age 1, he was living in Buffalo New York with his parents Patrick and Mary. They had both been born in Ireland and father Patrick was a waiter in a hotel. Twenty years later, he was living with his parents in Rochester, New York. He had siblings Eileen and William and was working as a bookkeeper at a bank. He had completed high school. When Matthew was 31, he was living with his wife Mary E. McKenna in Greece, New York. They had one daughter, Kathleen, who was 2. Matthew was working as a cost accountant in the distillation industry. Matthew was a veteran of World War II.
