Melba L. Holmby Obituary
Melba L. Holmby died at Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento Wednesday. She was 58.
She was born in Portland, Ore., and she had lived in Rocklin and Citrus Heights for eight years, after living in Reno for 24 years.
She was a 21 dealer at casinos in Reno for 24 years, and she was a memebr of the American Legion Post Auxiliary 521 of Rio Linda.
There will be a private cremation at Camelia Lawn in Sacramento and ashes scattered in the Pacific Ocean off San Francisco.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Calcagno of Everett, Wash.; mother, Ruth A. Cooper of Rocklin; brothers, Tom Southwick of Broderick and Bob Southwick and his wife, Bernice, of Roseville; three grandchildren; and a sister in-law, Joan Southwick of Rio Linda.
