I attended Saint Scholastica Academy in 1970 in Canon City, Colorado. I was a senior and Melverta was a new Freshman. As seniors, we were assigned "little sisters" and Melverta was mine. We had to get together and sort of mentor and befriend our "little sisters" and play dumb games, like Yahtzee. Melverta was so sweet and kind and a bit shy. She had a very strong accent and I loved it. I am so sorry that she passed away. I would like to hear from someone who knew her or anyone from St. Scholastica. Ta Ta for now.
