Michael Sr was born May 30th 1914, Greenpoint, NY. He soon moved to Poland with his mother and 3 sisters where he was raised. He returned to the USA shortly after his 18th birthday. He began working as a baker and saving to bring his mother and sisters back to America. When the US entered WWII he enlisted. He spoke fluent Polish and German and served as an interpreter in the war. He had one son, Michael Jr. and a granddaughter JoAnne.
