8-10-20 Cody was my Father or as I called him Daddy, he was my hero. Daddy showed me what a real man looks like. No pain could ever compare to what I felt looking at my dad for the last time. As a small girl most people didn't think I actually understood what was going on around me. I did and my mother knew that I did. I remeber sitting on my mother's lap looking into the casket just praying that he'd sit up and just hold me so tight that even angels couldn't rip me from his arms. He never sat up and I just wanted to fall apart right there in the middle of the room. I still lie awake at night and just pray that it was all a dream and I'll wake up and be able to run to his arms. It eats at me inside that I never got to say goodbye and that im slowly forgetting what he souded like. It kills me that he'll never walk me down the isle or get to threaten my date to prom or even just dance with me in the kitchen. I broke down in the middle of the store while picking out the letter D-A-D for his memorial outside milroy. I just wish that I could have one day to tell him how much I love him and how mad I am at him for leaving me. Sometimes when no ones around i can feel him sitting close to me and I just want to scream but I know he wishes he could be here. I just hope one day I'll see him again . -Railyn ( I Love you Daddy!)
