The following obituary appeared in The Daily Times (Salisbury, Maryland) on Thursday, April 23, 1992: Michael J. Chester OCEAN CITY - Michael J. Chester, 27, of here, died Monday, April 20, 1992, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury of cancer. A native of Laurel, Chester lived in Ocean City for the past 12 years. He was an accomplished musician, artist, and surfer. He is survived y his mother and stepfather, Harriet and Alan Roach of Milton, Del.; his father, Bob Chester of Ocean City; three brothers, Rob Chester and Phil Chester, both of Ocean City; and Chris Chester of Honolulu; and his two grandmothers, Harriett Richardson and Louise Phillips of Laurel. A service will be held Friday at noon on the beach at 79th Street and Ocean Front in Ocean City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of the deceased to the Mike Chester Surf Scholarship for Arts & Music, c/o La Hacienda, 8003 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, MD.
