Introduction

Worked six days a week nights all his adult life in USA. Was not much for gossip, love to read the New York Daily Newspaper. Always ate bread with each meal and avoided eating fish, because fish was all he had to eat while working his way across Europe and the Atlantic Ocean to reach America. He had four brothers and for some reason disowned two of them the eldest two amongst the siblings, they probably exploited him as a worker in their bake shops as sponsors. He loved summers with weekends on the lake and autumn with visits to the lake. He enjoyed buying dinner and drinks fir huge family gatherings at Original Rudie’s Restaurant on Berkshire valley road, oak Ridge. With up to twenty family guest ( siblings and their kids). Michael Moritz was my grandfather, I served in one of our wars as did my day when he was young, but he became a baker and I became a history teacher. I was an army officer since I had state college degrees. My grandfather was a truly kind hearted man.

Early Life & Education

He finished the third grade, but could speak different languages and read them as well. Like my Irish grandfather on my mom’s family he took only finished the third grade and worked in the coal mines as a child. It pisses me off when I hear people talk about white privileged, since it is a load of c*** unless wealthy, most had poor origins grandparents. Now, I did nit deny racism, but thus victimization of today is total bullshit for most people except the very poor at birth. My grandfather told me he would never go back to Europe, there is, but only one country America, we are blessed to be here.
Professional Career

Moritz Bakery family business 1935 to 1965, business sold in 1970.
Personal Life & Family

He lived fir summers and falls to enjoy his weekend cabin on a small lake.
