When his Wife Loretta became ill and was dying he refused to allow her son to visit His dying Mother and only agreed to let him know when She passed . But would not tell him where she was buried.

Apple switch
On a picnic with his Wife , Sister Anne, Brother in Law Walter His Son Mike and stepson he cut an stick from an apple tree . Before the week following was over he beat his stepson with the switch till his legs and backside were bleeding all over a minor transgression ( not do his homework) , if he did anything like this today , he would go to Jail, for a long time.

He would make friends with people and could talk a good game . As his friendship would grow he would weigh out weather you could do anything for his advantages if not , he would drop you like a hot potatoes
