Michael Raymond Werner was born on May 19, 1953 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio United States to Melvin Raymond Werner and Geraldine Marie Werner, and had siblings Gary Francis Werner, Linda Anne Chesnik, Nancy Jean Werner, Steven Paul Werner, and Robert John Werner. He married Robin Elizabeth Werner in 1976 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, and they were married until Michael's death on December 8, 2020 in Cleveland. He had children Jessica Michele Werner and Jacob Timothy Werner. Michael Werner was buried at Cremated.
