Mildred B Sioleski's History: 1920 - 2001

Uncover new discoveries and connections today by sharing about people & moments from yesterday.
  • Introduction

Mildred was my maternal grandmother. A strong, independent woman. She had a sister Ellen, and twin brothers Kip and Fred. They were orphaned and sent out to work at very early ages. Nana Millie used to tell me stories about being a house keeper for a family who in turn provided her with a place to live. Her husband, Victor was a severe alcoholic, and so when she became pregnant with her 2nd child, Michael, she left him and raised my mother, Dianne, and my Uncle Mike on her own.
