    Mildred attended North Scranton Junior High School (where she received an award for penmanship), Scranton Tech H. S. class of 1933, and Lackawanna Business College.

    She was a member of the Abovath Shalom Congregation in the Providence section of Scranton and Ohav Zedek Congregation on Mulberry Street. The funeral was Tuesday at 11 a.m. graveside in the Dalton Jewish Cemetery with services by Rabbi Mordechai Fine. Arrangements were made by the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., Dunmore, Pa. Shiva was observed at home on 417 N.     Until her marriage, she was employed as a sales manager at her uncle Leon Rosenberg's store "The Luggage Shop" on 123 Penn Ave. She was known for her impeccable style, grace, and elegance.
  • Personal Life & Family

    She was not only a member of the Hebrew Day School Auxiliary but also of the Jewish Home of NEPA . Mildred was presented with the "Volunteer of the Year" Award in Honor and with Deep Appreciation of faithful and devoted service to the Jewish Home of Eastern Pa. on May 29, 1986. Both she and her husband enjoyed classical music, had season tickets to the Broadway Theater League, and traveled to Atlantic City casinos and Boardwalk. On Thursday afternoons she could be found playing Bridge or Canasta card games with her friends.
