Introduction

Mildred was my aunt. I was at the hospital shortly before she passed away from cancer. I was only about 14 and I'm 72 now, so I think the year was 1956. She is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, Iowa, as I put flowers on her grave there every year. Her husband Charles is buried right beside her. She had no children, and was very good to her family like myself. Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee took care of her funeral, so they should have details of the date of death.
