Introduction

Milton Earl Hensarling was the son of Lewis and Ida Hensarling. He was born in Normangee, Texas on September 5, 1927 and grew up there. He later resided in Harris County and Liberty County Texas. On April 25, 1948 he married Margaret F Hensarling. They had three children together and resided in Charleston, South Carolina, USA in the 1950's where he resided with his wife Margaret, her mother (his mother in law) Florrie Spell, and his brother and sisters in law. The couple later divorced on May 19, 1948 in Harris County Texas. He then remarried to Martha E. (Simmons) Hensarling (1950-2009) on September 18, 1969 in Liberty County, TX. The couple separated on May 8, 1975 in Harris County, TX. Milton served in the US Navy as a S2 and was a veteran of World War II. On January 3, 2006, Milton Hensarling passed away. He is buried at the Hopewell Cemetery in Normangee, Texas.

His father, Lewis Abron Hensarling, was born on April 8, 1878 in Texas and grew up in Angelina and Madison Texas. He later resided in Normangee, Leon, Texas with his wife and kids and worked as a farmer. He passed away on January 28, 1966 in Madisonville, Texas. His parents, Milton's paternal grandparents were Jessie James "Jim" Hensarling (1888-1974) of Texas and Rebecca Martha "Becky" Hulett (1850-1922) of Texas. Becky's parents were James Emory Hulett (1823-1899) of Tyler, TX and Elvira Jordan (1828-1861) of Jasper County, Texas. Milton's mother, Ida Lena Taft, was born on January 5, 1890 in Madison County, Texas and grew up there. She completed an elementary school education and was a mother and a housewife. She passed away on December 22, 1974. Her parents, Milton's maternal grandparents were William Ellis Taft (1849-1930) of Meridian, Mississippi and Susan Dorcas Johnson (1855-1938) of Montague, Alabama. Susan's parents were Henry Johnson (1820-1858) of South Carolina and Margaret Jane Brown (1828-1900) of South Carolina.
