Minnie Mae (Jones) Eakin of Rock Springs, Sweetwater County, Wyoming was born on August 5, 1904 in Gordon, Palo Pinto County, Texas United States. She was married to Donald Bryant Piper in 1921, and they were together until Donald's death in October 1954 in Meridian, Bosque County. Minnie Eakin died at age 68 years old in November 1972 at Rock Spring Gen. Hospital in Rock Springs, Sweetwater County, WY.

Minnie was a an awesome woman, by her husband's side when ever needed, as a comman Labor to a farmer, a rancher, PTA member, a friend & a mother. She threw birthday parties for her family & their friends never to be forgotten. She looked the part no matter where she was, in her denims weighing cotton at the end of the field or in a pair of gabardine slacks with a silk blouse & jacket to attend a monthly PTA meeting or Sunday at the Methodist church where she would attend with her daughters Clara & Diann.

Minnie's education was thru her Jr. year, but I have no idea where she went to school.

Minnie was a good Christian woman. She was a member of the Methodists church & encouraged her daughters Clara & Diann to follow suite.

After Don's death in 1954 she worked as a bookeeper for a private concern, Until she moved from El Paso & moved to Wyoming with Josh Eakin whom she married.

Minnie was a giving person, she would make sure children that were in school along with her daughter would have warm clothes thru a charity.
