Muriel Hildrer Helen (McCance) Jones of Castlemaine, Mount Alexander Shire County, VIC Australia was born on December 29, 1879 in Chewton to Henrietta Margaret Coffee and Francis Edward McCance. She had siblings John Elmer McCance, Ellen Catherine Mary McCance, Winifred Maud Lena McCance, Myrtle Agnes Amy Mccance, Hazel Annie Frances McCance, Elise Milroy Isma McCance, Oliver Linden Roy McCance, Sylvester Clive McCance, Violet Alma (Mccance) Cocks, Marjorie Henrietta McCance, Edward George Mccance, Rosaleah McCance, Robert Edmund Mccance, and Aubrey William Mccance. She married John Roderick Jones in 1901, and had children Aubrey Davies Li Jones, Frances Thomas Elmer Jones, Elva Rachel Jones, and Elva Rachel Jones. Muriel Jones died at age 55 years old on September 1, 1935 in Castlemaine.
