    Muriel Voegtlin Johnson Born: December 03, 1919 Died: December 10, 2007 Graveside services for Mrs. Muriel Voegtlin Johnson, age 88, will begin at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Avenue. She was the loving wife of Richard Lynn Johnson, Jr. She was born December 3, 1919, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and daughter of Catherine Woolverton and Eustace Prosper Voegtlin. She graduated from Martin Berhman High School, Joseph A. Mabin School for graduates and attended Loyola University. She was a member of the Algiers Methodist Church, South and served as the organist and youth counselor. She was also an active member of the Algiers Little Theater and an employee of Louisiana Power & Light Company for fifteen years. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Woolverton and Eustace Prosper Voegtlin; and her brother, Eustace Prosper Voegtlin, Jr. Survivors include her husband; sister, Judith Voegtlin Sinisi (Mrs. Rocco Sinisi), of Rocky Hill, CT; her daughter, Dana Johnson Bannerman and husband, Bruce, of Baton Rouge, LA; her son, Blair Courtland Johnson and his wife, Gina, of Canyon Lake, TX; granddaughter, Blair Margaret Bannerman Anderson and husband, William, of Baton Rouge, LA; and her grandson, Christopher McLain Bannerman, of Los Angeles, CA. Memorials may be made to Compton Cemetery Foundation, C/O Red River Bank, P.O. Box 12550, Alexandria, LA 71315-2550, Account #331775 or to the charity of donor’s choice.
