    Nama was born in Arkansas Panama Woods (pronounced Pa-nama). She did not like her name and changed it to Nama Ann. She married Alfred McNairn on June 26, 1923 eventually moving to Texas after the birth of their first child. They had 3 children: William Lloyd McNairn (nickname of Tinker) Harold McNairn and Lois Jane McNairn (Petty)
