    Birth: May 2, 1916 DeKalb County Alabama, USA Death: Jan. 16, 1998 Fort Payne DeKalb County Alabama, USA Nancy Lucille "Phillips" Helms, 81, of Fort Payne, passed away January 16, 1998, at DeKalb BMC. Funeral services were held Jan. 18 from Burt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Smith officiating. Burial was in Moutain View Memory Gardens. Mrs. Helms, a native of Cullman County, born May 2, 1916, was the daughter of John and Sarah "Webb" Phillips. She was a homemaker and a member of the Holiness Church. Survivors include: sons Clyde Helms, Ohio; Harold Helms, Sylvania; Oscar Helms, Early Helms, Lee Don Helms, all of Fort Payne; daughters: Lillian Thurmond, Lola Shankles of both of Fort Payne; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
