Nathan Rosbrow was born in Philadelphia to Charles Rosbrow (1882-1972) and Raisel Rose (Kaiser) Rosbrow (1884-1957), and he had a sister Jean Esther Rosbrow (1910-1999) and brother Edward Rosbrow (1915-1999). He married Sara Krigstein in Philadelphia in 1932 and they had a daughter. Nathan was a World War 2 Veteran who served with the 63rd Army Infantry Division. After the war, he worked for the Veterans Administration. He served as chief attorney of the Veterans Administration from 1959 until his retirement in 1982.

After his service during World War 2, Nathan worked as a lawyer for the Veterans Administration. He was first hired as an adjudicator in 1946, and in 1955 he was named rating board legal specialist, and finally in 1959 he was appointed chief attorney. He retired from the Veterans Administration in 1982.

Nathan Rosbrow was a brother Freemason and his blue lodge was Du Pont Lodge 29. He was also a member of the Jewish War Veterans, Temple Beth Shalom, and Delaware Post 1, American Legion.

Nathan Rosbrow, former chief attorney in the Veterans Administration regional office, died Friday of heart failure in Riverside Hospital. Mr Rosbrow, 81, of 5 Colony Blvd., joined the Veterans Administration as adjudicator in 1946. He was named rating board legal specialist in 1955, and in 1959 he was appointed chief attorney. He retired in 1982. He was a former Family Court master. He was a member of Temple Beth Shalom and Delaware Post 1, American Legion. He was a Shriner, Mason and member of Du Pont Lodge 29 and Jewish War Veterans. He received a bachelor's degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He served with the 63rd Army Infantry Division during World War II. His wife, Sara K., died in 1969. He is survived by a daughter, Rosalind Rand of Long Island, N.Y.; a brother Edward of Wilmington; a sister, Jean Zetlin of Wilmington, and three grandchildren. Services will be Sunday at 10 a.m. in Chandler Funeral Home. 2506 Concord Pike, Sharpley.
