Neal nacio de padre alemàn y de madre rusa, de origenes judias .Ha vivido en Nueva York y en Hallandale Beach Florida ( Miami).Lo conoci en 1981 en México , camino de Puebla Oaxaca en autocar .Me permitio descubrir Nueva york y me regalo su càmara Nikon .Era un fotografo muy original y le gustaba sacar polaroids .Conoci a su hermana mayor Roz que vivia en Miami . .Vino a Paris varias veces y al sur de Francia ..Compartio una exposicion callejera que hice en St Rémy de Provence. Neal era un chico culto, inteligente , generoso y gracioso. Fue taxi driver y estuvo en ambiente de jazz con mùsicos ( Miles Davis , Jimmy Cobb y Elena Steingerg , la cual fue la esposa de Jimmy Cobb). Tenia talento artistico pero no pudo sacarlo ..Le gustaba el cine, los libros de arte , los museos, las galletas , comer cebollas y melon para su desayuono y el cigarillo .Lo recuerdo con el pitillo en Nueva york mirando el rio Hudson desde su ventana. Tenia aire mezclado de Orson Welles , Sean Connery, Paul Newman ..Era todo un personaje .i miss him .
