Religious Beliefs

¨Grant" as he was known in the circles I knew him in (he was my father) was very religious, he, his wife (Doreen) and son (me) and his mother and two sisters, cecielia and peggy and their families belonged to the Exclusive brethren. Basically christian, being an offshoot of the Plymouth brethren. Required hall attendances were (maybe still are ( i was excommunicated 1970 and have not been in contact with any of my family since then being a requirement of the Exclusive Brethren that their ¨members" have nothing to do with people who are not Exclusive Brethren)) Sunday 6am local hall for ẗhe breaking of the bread¨ Sunday 9am regional central hall for a reading and interpretation on the bible (King James adaption) Sunday from 3pm to 5pm at various ¨local¨ halls for a gospel message from 3 lay personnel. These were theoretically open to the public (I guess so they did not have to pay tax on their takings collected at the Sunday morning session). Monday 6pm local hall, prayer meeting Tuesday 6pm regional central hall for ministry by 3 lay person Wednesday 6pm regional central hall for readings and followed administration, this is where they handled ¨matter¨, excommunications and other issues. Thursday and Friday 6pm local halls for local readings and local administration (as I recall). Saturday regional central hall for further readings (as I recall).
