Nettie was a very strong and hardworking woman...good as she could be. She could get out and work in the fields just like a man. She was first married to William Louis "Bud" May and second to Robert M. "Bob" Wood. Bob had a son from his previous marriage that died young, his name was Bobby Wood. He is supposed to be buried in Pontotoc, MS. As far as I know, Nettie never had any children. Her parents were Jessie and Maggie Beard Townley (they lived aound Nauvoo at one time and in Winston County, AL one time) and one of her great-grandmothers was Martha Catherine Manasco daughter of David C. Manasco.
